This project will use experimental methods to randomly assign adult daily social media users to periods of social media abstinence over the course of 28 days. The goal of this project is to identify the association between the amount of time daily social media users abstain from social media use and daily loneliness and daily quality of life. 211 adult participants were recruited Daily dairy measures will record both loneliness and quality of life. Within and between subjects change in loneliness and quality of life will be investigated.
