This is a simple script to implement the POLS ("Probit Adapted Ordinary Least Squares") estimator of Van Praag & Ferrer-i-Carbonell (2008). Since this just involves a transformation of the dependent variable, this script takes one variable as input and one variable as output. I.e.: **Syntax** pols_gen depvar, gen(pols_var) `pols_var` can then be used as a `depvar` in e.g. `xtreg` or `reg` **Bibliography** Van Praag, B.M.S & Ferrer-i-Carbonell, A.
