Description: This overview of reviews was conducted to determine how the methodologies of systematic reviews investigating the association between low calorie sweetener (LCS) consumption and body weight (BW) influence their findings and whether meta-analysis results can provide a consistent estimated effect. The methodology used in this overview of reviews was registered on PROSPERO (CRD42022351200). The results from this overview of reviews are published in Advances in Nutrition (https://advances.nutrition.org/article/S2161-8313(24)00073-5/pdf).
